I was born in Boston, Massachusetts, Sept. 26, (I'm a baby boomer), to an Irish Catholic Father, and a Protestant Mother, of English and Scottish heritage. Mom worked as a hairdresser in Hyannis Port, Mass. during the tourist season, and was Rose Kennedy's favorite hairdresser. All the while, our late President, John F. Kennedy stood outside the salon, handing out his campaign flyers to become Senator. When I was 6 mo.s old, we moved to Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., where we stayed for eight years, and then came out to Calif. Mom wanted to work for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft. She later became "Rosie the Riveter". Our first place was Venice, Ca. and thereafter, pretty much grew up in Santa Monica. Was married twice, and have two sons. After my second divorce, I took up Windsurfing, and was the first woman to sail to Catalina from San Pedro with Jim Drake(The aeronautical engineer whom co-invented the sport). "Con" from 'Con Surfboards' was our chase boat. After that, we sailed over 100 miles in the Carribean. It was called the "Hook-in, and Hold on" Windsurf Race, sponsered by Johnny Walker. It was over a 10 day stint, while being followed by our 42' Morgan ships (our sleeping quarters). There where entrants from several different countries all over the world. Jim Drake and I were the only entrants from Calif. So pretty much, I love the water. Was a Water Skiier, before taking up Windsurfing.
.......And now, I am presently in Acting, and Real Estate, and take ballroom dancing @ Arthur Murray Dance Studio. I'm in the process of obtaining my Irish Citizenship, so I will have dual. Hope to visit Ireland one day. I am presently scheduled to start acting in "Pirates of the Carribean #3" the end of November as a 'Wench'. Looking forward to that!
