I hope you have a happy day Darlene...find something to do that brings a smile to your face! I enjoy being outside, so I did that for a little bit this morning..
She lives 2 1/2 hours east of us. We might go out for seafood. Will be talking to her tomorrow so we will see how the schedules align. We are coming back home Sunday.
Welcome cooler nights if not cooler days! It's almost 87 today in Wonderland. I can't wait to buy mums for the patio! And I do decorate with lights & figures for fall/Halloween. It's my favorite look for the house besides Christmas.
I live in the metro Detroit area--about 15 mins from the Gordie Howe bridge & 15 mins from Erie. My dad grew up in Toldeo. I'm about 35 mins from the state border. Not a big boat person though. I like looking from a shoreline. In the 90s I spent a lot of time at the Sterling State Park beach with the kids. Then we moved to Ypsilanti Twp & I switched to taking them to what was called Heath Beach--a man-made lake near Milan.
It's nice to have a collection of a favorite series & not have to wait for it to show on TV. I missed the whole Dark Shadows era. Too young & my mom didn't watch it. In 1971 I was 9. Not a big fan of monsters & vampires when I was younger. Even the old black & whites scared me. I had to force myself to stop sleeping under the covers when I got to college lol Have a great week! Cyndi
Well it’s been a mixture of a day here. Began with sunny skies then came overcast and looking stormy and been like that ever since. Also rotating between cool and warm as the day progresses. Theres a humidity that’s a bit draining. Plays havoc with my back so giving the walk in the driveway a miss today. I’ve got one of those mini exercise bikes and will give that a whirl later. Apart from that it’s been a quiet day. Do you still use your treadmill? My Jonquills and snowdrops are flowering and a few anemonies. I’m a bit dissapointed in those as I planted a good 50 mixture of Anemonies and ranuculi in may/june and only a few have come through. There’s still a little time I guess. Enjoy the rest of your evening. Hugs to you. ~Pat~
I hope you had a great weekend Darlene, and looking forward to September....I will once the 100 plus degree days end...hopefully by the middle of the month...but we will see...
Hello Melinda, on this last weekend in August.Aside from Christmas, I don't do much decorating for other seasons or occasions. I don't have much space to store decorations when not in use. It's forecast to be in the 90s here all week. The coolness of autumn can't get here fast enough. During the worst of the summer heat, I like to visualize being at the beach.
